Dr William DeJean and Cookie talk about the importance of story-telling in our learning process. This will get you thinking about your next presentation or meeting. Find out more about William below:
Dr William DeJean, is a Doctor of Education – which is really just a fancy name for someone who knows his stuff! Over the past 25 years, he has helped thousands of educators learn how to make learning stick and his corporate program is launching on October 1st. The system gets to the heart of how we all learn and retain information best and Dr DeJean will be joining us in the cafe to tell us how it works! Dr. William started out as a high school teacher in San Diego, where he was named Teacher of the Year among 26,000 teachers. He’s taught at universities in the US and Australia and is an internationally recognised researcher. He will be joining us to tell us more about what science says makes learning stick, what COVID means for training, presenting, and professional learning, what leaders of teams can do NOW to help teams remember what makes learning stick and some tips and tricks on how we can best remember stuff (hint, it’s not facts, figures, and numbers!). Don’t miss this important session and learn how a few actions teams can use now will help make learning stick for everyone!
