Nick Bracks shares his 3 steps to making sustainable change around your own personal mental health journey. Find out more about Nick below:
Nick Bracks is a model, actor, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate who uses his voice to educate and inspire people to look after their own wellbeing after a long and public battle with his own diagnosis.
In his book, Move Your Mind, Nick shares how his mental health struggles manifested. After years of suffering from OCD and depression, and a tumultuous time in his early 20's with alcohol, he was able to turn his life around with the support from his family.
Nick first started talking about his mental health battles publicly when he appeared on Dancing with the Stars and chose Beyond Blue as his charity. Since then he has been determined to breakdown the stigma surrounding mental health.
His advocacy work has seen him appointed as an ambassador for the mental health service HeadSpace, present 2 Ted Talks, and co-found Happy Waves - an app that encompasses Nicks passion for mental health and wellbeing by helping users find focus, deal with stress, re-energise and be mindful through meditation.
Move Your Mind is a culmination of Nick's lived experience, contributions from professionals, case studies, along with daily tools to assist those struggling with their mental health. The aim is to create new habits that build happiness and reduce stress in order to live a more fulfilling life.
